Looking for a wedding proposal photographer?


Are you popping the question and in need of a photographer to capture this unforgettable moment? I've been photographing proposals for over a decade in and around the greater Boston area. From highly choreographed moments to very casual proposals, I've seen it all!


The first step is always to hop on a call (well after you have the ring of course!) and talk through a rough idea of your plan so far. I'm always happy to suggest some locations, especially if you're traveling from out of state and don't know the area well. We'll figure out a time, you can send me a few photos of the two of you so I know who I'm looking for, as well as letting me know what you're wearing the day of. I show up early, and pretend to be a tourist with a long lens so I can capture the moment from a distance so you can still share this private moment together without interruption, or me spoiling the surprise!


After the proposal, we'll spend the remainder of the session walking around the area, finding great locations for couples portraits together. The final gallery usually has around 100-150 photos and I always give duplicates in black and white so you have options on how you want to share the final set of images without having to do any adjustments on your own! Wedding Proposal Ideas



In my experience the best idea is the one that feels the most right to your relationship. Do you two typically go over the top for one another on birthdays and holidays? Throwing big parties or planning elaborate gifts? If so, think about something that feels true to your relationship within that! I've seen things like scavenger hunts where your future fiancé will have to figure out a series of clues to eventually find you where we will be at the end to pop the question.


Or, slightly less complicated, laying out long stretches of flowers in a beautiful or scenic area with champagne at the end and getting a friend or family member to trick them into showing up somewhere they didn't know they would be going.


For many of my clients, they go with a more laid back approach. Planning a brunch or dinner and on the way there you pop the question in a beautiful place that we figure out together beforehand. I often love something like the Public Garden, or somewhere with a view of a major Boston landmark like the Zakim Bridge.


Whatever ideas you may have, I am always happy to hop on a call and talk through this together and figure out the best plan that will feel true to you and how you hope to start the next phase of your relationship with your significant other!
